An Expectation of Violence (Philly Premiere) at the Painted Bride Arts Center, Jan. 22-23, 2011 in Old City, Philly.
KPG will present its Second Annual Performance Party Series as a part of the POST-op Dance Showcase. The KPG Performance Party Series will include guest performers from NYC and surrounding areas including a Deborah Hay Solo Adaptation of News performed by Brandin Steffenson. Suggested Donation is $15-$20.
POST-op is made possible in part by Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre, nEW Festival, Dance/USA Philadelphia's Theater Rental Subsidy Program, The Philadelphia Cultural Fund, and the Painted Bride Arts Center. Post-op Dance Showcase will premiere new works by Melanie Stewart, Megan Mazarick, Jaamil Olawale Kosoko/KOSOKO PERFORMANCE GROUP among others.

Gregory Pardlo
Gregory Pardlo is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in poetry and a translation grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. He has also received fellowships from the New York Times, the MacDowell Colony, the Seaside Institute, and Cave Canem. His poems, reviews and translations have appeared in Calalloo, wedding dress designs Lyric, Painted Bride Quarterly, Ploughshares, Seneca Review, Volt, Black Issues Book Review and on National Public Radio. He teaches creative writing at Medgar Evers College, CUNY, and lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.
